These terms apply to all quotations issued and orders accepted by Alpinyx Woodcraft Sdn. Bhd. (“Alpinyx”). By paying a deposit you accept them. They are governed by the laws of Malaysia, and nothing in them limits your statutory rights under the Consumer Protection Act 1999.
1. Quotations
Quotations are fixed-price, itemised, and valid for 30 days from issue. For projects inside the Klang Valley a quotation is only confirmed after our site measurement. Prices include delivery and installation within the Klang Valley unless the quotation states otherwise; transport beyond is charged at cost and listed separately.
2. Orders and deposits
Production begins after we receive a 50% deposit and your written approval of the final drawings and material selections. The balance is due on the day of installation, after you have inspected the completed work. We accept bank transfer, DuitNow and major cards.
3. Changes after sign-off
Small changes requested before materials are cut are usually free — ask, and we will confirm in writing. Changes after cutting has begun are quoted as variations. We will never proceed with a variation, or charge for one, without your written agreement.
4. Timelines
Your quotation states a delivery window, typically 3 to 10 weeks depending on scope. If a delay on our side exceeds 14 days beyond that window, you may cancel undelivered items for a full refund of payments made on them. Delays caused by site conditions — unfinished renovation works, no access, pending wiring — pause the schedule until resolved.
5. Delivery and installation
You or your representative must be present at installation to inspect and accept the work. Defects noted at handover are rectified at no cost. Please ensure clear access; additional visits caused by refused or impossible access may incur a transport fee.
6. Natural materials
Wood is a natural product. Variations in grain, knots and colour — including gradual tone changes with light exposure — are characteristics, not defects. We match physical samples as closely as the material allows.
7. Warranty
Every piece carries a 5-year warranty on structure and workmanship and a 1-year warranty on hardware and moving parts, effective from installation. The warranty covers repair or, where repair is impractical, replacement. It does not cover damage from misuse, water ingress from plumbing or flooding, unauthorised modification, or normal wear of surfaces. 8. Cancellations
You may cancel before production begins for a full deposit refund. Once materials are cut, the deposit covers work done and materials committed; any unused balance is refunded. Custom furniture cannot be restocked, so cancellation after completion is treated under the Return & Refund Policy.
9. Liability
Our liability for any claim is limited to the price paid for the item concerned, except where Malaysian law does not permit such limitation. We carry public liability insurance for installation works.
